Ethics Officers

To give the Commission additional assurance that state employees are knowledgeable of the provisions of the Executive Branch Code of Ethics, the Commission requests that each executive branch agency appoint an "ethics officer" to represent their respective agency. Ethics Officers act as liaisons between their staffs and the Commission. The ethics officers are furnished all advisory opinions and publications of the Commission, and they are responsible for disseminating such information to their staffs. Ethics officers may also serve as the appointing authority designee for the approval of outside employment by employees within their agency. Additionally, Ethics Officers assist the Commission with the submission of Statements of Financial Disclosure. A current list of ethics officers and their respective cabinets, departments, commissions, and boards are provided under Related Documents.
